RALEIGH, N.C. – March 3, 2025 – Gateview Technologies, an industry-advancing creator of power distribution solutions for mission-critical applications, announces its new line of PowerTAP modular power units (MPUs), adding advanced RPP to IT rack power distribution capability to the company’s diverse range of IT power solutions.
PowerTAP MPU is an IT power distribution product used to distribute rack power from a remote power panel (RPP) or panel board. The MPU allows fast deployment and flexibility for periodically changing power at the rack. With a single modular base box (MBB) and 9 power interface modules (PIMs), PowerTAP connects directly to a 60A breaker at the power panel and provides flexible power options up to 34.4 kW per connection.

Long delays and the high expense of an overloaded busway is severely delaying project delivery. Gateview co-developed PowerTAP with one of the largest data center providers to allow quick deployments and fast power changes at the IT rack. With PowerTAP’s direct runs back to the power panel, an overloaded busway is no longer a concern.” noted Gateview CTO, Mark Germagian.
PowerTAP also provides flexible features for mounting underfloor or over rack and a 180 degree rotatable MC cable box connector to facilitate a service loop for cable routing. PowerTAP is ordered with your specific cable length up to 68 feet and is prepared for fast connection to the power panel or RPP. PowerTAP can be ordered with a blank panel if power requirement is not known or with the Power Interface Module (PIM) needed at the time.
PowerTAP is available in 208V and 415V version with power-interface-modules (PIMs) to 34.4kW.
