CEOMark has a 28-year product development background in power electronics, and a 16-year business development background in the data center industry. Mark founded Opengate, a data center cooling air automation company in 2007 and grew revenues by over 100% annually for five-years while achieving 60% gross margins. Opengate’s Unity Cooling System earned the Innovation Award from the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and won the Best Facilities Product Award from the Uptime Institute. Mark holds multiple U.S. and international patents for power and cooling systems and was the main inventor for In-Row Cooling which quickly became its own data center category. Mark also led the team that established APC’s original standards for taking product ideas and customer needs to the point of an innovative marketable solution. Mark’s attention to detail and executive management of high-growth start-ups, experience leading technology research and implementation, and the ability to work closely in collaboration with customers, has allowed him to accelerate business growth in his past endeavors. Mark brings a clearly focused management style that promotes creative thinking and organized execution.
A strategic, operations, and market aware Chief Executive Officer and Board member with a record of success focusing early stage, mid-sized, and large companies, delivering bottom-line results in complex, rapidly changing environments. An industry expert in energy management, electrical infrastructure, and strategic repositioning of companies with NOLs.
Mr. Ascolese has previously held the positions of; CEO at Active Power, and Power Analytics, President of Eaton Power Systems, and various management positions at the General Electric Company. He has also served on various for profit and non-profit boards including Triangle United Way and the Tammy Lynn Center Boards.
He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Business and Duke’s Fuqua School of Business Executive Management Program.
An executive with operations experience in; sales, marketing, business development, and engineering within the power electronics industry. Marc is a multi-function business leader expertly skilled in contracts, global channel development, account management and team leadership. Marc’s strategic skills include; the ability to effectively assess customers’ current and future needs, research alternatives, and provide solution options that meet or exceed requirements.Marc previously held director level positions within several large companies. His management positions were with; Vertiv, Eaton, Schneider Electric, and Honeywell. Marc is our other CEO – known as our Chief Eternal Optimist and outside the box strategist finding efficient ways to get things done.
VP of Engineering
Mr. Schultz has over thirty-five years of diversified engineering experience in design, development, and production of electronic power equipment for military, industrial, and commercial applications.
He has a proven record in the development of new products and a demonstrated ability to successfully deliver products that exceed customer expectations. Lynn is listed as inventor or co-inventor on five patents related to UPS battery management, mechanical transfer relay arc mitigation, and switch mode power supply designs.
Lynn had a successful 16-year career with Schneider Electric’s APC subsidiary serving in various roles including Chief Engineer overseeing products serving the Verizon Fios market. Prior to APC, he worked as an independent consultant for 12 years serving customers in the telecommunications power and induction welding industries. Early in his engineering design career, Lynn was employed by Raytheon, Wang Labs, and Warren Power Systems.
VP of Operations
Clint is a manufacturing and operations executive with many years of complimentary experience in new product development in multiple industries. He has directed international teams in the development of industry leading solutions that produced millions in new revenue. Clint has been awarded (12) US Patents and multiple design awards. These awards and patents occurring in such varied applications as a hybrid motorcycle for the American Chopper Series, and Deep Space Nine, a sci-fi show, where product was used on the set.
Clint previously held positions as a business development executive with Enabled Energy and Upsite Technologies, where Clint led the teams that won the 2015 Modern Infrastructure Impact Award, as a Data Center Dynamics Award Finalist. Prior to Upsite, Clint spent 20 years with APC/Schneider Electric as a design engineer developing power products and development of professional services for the data center market.
