Gateview’s Newest PowerLok® PDUs Offer Patented CORDLOK™ Technology, Precise Monitoring, Versatile Options and Fast Shipment

Wake Forest, NC – August 10, 2021 – Gateview Technologies, an industry-changing creator of advanced power distribution solutions for mission-critical applications, announces its newest line of 120/208V rack Power Distribution Units (rPDUs). The 8200-8300 Series products offer enterprise, cloud, colocation, and edge data center operators a highly reliable PDU solution with proprietary CORDLOK technology, power and environmental monitoring, several options and short lead times.

Rounding out Gateview’s 8000 Series, the 208V single-phase and 120/208V three-phase WYE models offer a 2.18 inch wide by 2.9” deep slim design that is purpose-built for easier access to equipment in power-dense rack environments. In addition, these receptacle dense 20-to-30-amp rPDUs feature sophisticated monitoring via SNMP and Ethernet with an easy-to-view touch screen that displays alarms, amps, kilowatts, volts and the internal temperature of the PDU. In addition, the power dashboard provides visual historical graphing of power monitoring.

A standard feature of the new Series is Gateview’s patented CORDLOK technology. This innovative receptacle enhancement secures typical pronged plugs with a two-position gripping latch that eliminates accidental unplugging of power cords. Operators will especially appreciate CORDLOK’S easy single-hand insertion and removal of cords with a positive click when fully inserted. For circumstances where it might not be appropriate — such as extreme space constraints — any model can be specified without CORDLOK capability as a special order. Models without CORDLOK are only 2.0” deep.

For easier visual identification of the PDUs in dense racks, the 8200-8300 Series can be ordered in carbon (standard for quick delivery) or red, white or blue colors at no additional cost with six- and ten-foot angled whips. Several lengths are available for “Select a PDU” models including 36”, 41”, 72”, and 82”. “Build a PDU” models are also available in 24”, 46”, and 92” lengths.

Unlike many rPDUs on the market, Gateview robotically solders connections from the line cord to every receptacle, removing all mechanical terminations. This build method significantly improves PowerLok’s reliability compared to other PDUs with manually built connections that are quick to overheat and are three times more likely to fail.

Made in the USA in an AS9100 aerospace standard facility, the 8200-8300 Series rPDUs feature a 3-year warranty and are available now with over 430 Select Models available with several ready to ship in just one or two days.
